Print Sketch Critique

1. Why is texture so important to have in your sketches?
Texture adds dimension and also it makes it come move alive.

2. Why is it necessary for you to have several references of each animal and each background? Explain.
If were trying to draw an animal in a different pose then the one we printed off we can look at one of the three pictures and see what it looks like in that view. Also if the animal that you chose doesn't have a good background you'll have other sources that you can look at and transfer that animal into that type of background.
3. When you look at your sketches are you able to see which sketch is the strongest and will make the best print? How do you know this?
When i look at my sketches its easy to see which one was drawn better, but to know which one has the better print is hard. I know which one is the better sketch because of how it looks. Though i still don't know how to tell which one is going to be the better print.
